Review: August: Osage County is a terrific game, written by Tracy Letts powerful - he shook Broadway and won the Pulitzer Prize. And it's going to swing theater near you. This is not a movie for everyone. Its tiring, it is full of people really insignificant, and its powerful depressing. But the quality is so fantastic role so strong, you will not want to miss it.It Weston family history: Purple, cancer patient addict (Meryl Streep); Beverly her husband, a famous poet (Sam Shepard); daughters Barbara (Julia Roberts), Karen (Juliette Lewis) and Ivy (Julianne Nicholson); Violets sister Mini FAE Aiken (Margo Martindale), her husband Charles (Chris Cooper), and his son, known as Little Charles (Benedict Cumberbatch). Beverly commits suicide, the family gathers and miserable from the start. Violet completely drugs, Barbara and her husband (Ewan McGregor) is in the process of division, Ivy has a secret boyfriend, and although it was postponed cared for his mother, she is ready to leave New York, and Karen comes with her boyfriend? and (Dermot Mulroney), who was married three times and seems to be at all interested in the barbaric daughter 14 years. I thought Meryl Streep was excellent - a type of love as an actress, a kind of Martha in Virginia Woolf was totally out of control, and, except for Helen Mirren and Judi Dench, no one is better to solve it than Streep. Julia Roberts gives what may be his best performance. Nha one of my favorites, and I do not consider it a particularly good actress, but she almost gets him out, probably because of the talent around her. Margo Martindale as caustic and slides Mini recalls niece not only your fat old aunt sensational. Purple, Barbara and Mini have shouted roles.In male roles, Sam Shepard, although its role is small, it is elegant and friendly, and Chris Cooper does not have much to do until the confrontation with the Mini, which is galvanizing. And Benedict Cumberbatch - what can I say - I love this man. This is the reverse in the Star Trek villain here, a young man who hates dangerous for its slowness and inability to keep a job.
